It was a big event in our house last week as Miss Charlie started big school. She has been looking forward to it for a long time and while I was confident that she was ready, I still had butterflies in my tummy thinking of my little girl going to school!
We decided to mark the occasion with a new tradition and while I cannot take credit for the original concept (thank you, Pinterest), I just love the idea so much. I call it the First Day of School Shirt and the plan is to take a photo of Charlotte wearing the shirt on the first day of each school year. By the time she finishes high school, the shirt should (hopefully) fit her.
I used black iron on vinyl to create the lettering ‘Class of 2029’ and I used a ladies size small t-shirt. I also put her surname on the back of the t-shirt, similar to football jerseys.
And here she is, my little girl is growing up…
And just in case you were wondering, she had a wonderful first day of school and has settled in beautifully.
Thanks for reading along. If you have any questions or comments about our First Day of School Shirt, please feel free to leave them below and I will do my best to get back to you.
Until next time,
