Little Miss Charlie's Parties

Donut & Sprinkles Birthday Party

What better way to kick off my brand new blog than with a super fun Donut & Sprinkles Party.

My donut loving girl is turning 5 this week (how did that happen?!) and this past weekend we surprised her with a little party. We kept it quite small this year as we are heading to Queensland at the end of this week to visit family and have another surprise planned for Miss Charlie whilst we are there.

The dessert table included the Birthday Cake, donut cookies, cake pops and chocolate covered marshmallows made by me and a selection of donuts from Donut King (the Birthday Girl’s favourite treat when we go out for morning tea!).

To drink there was fresh milk in plastic bottles decorated with a donut shaped cookie. There was a selection of flavoured straws so everyone could choose their favourite (choc-mint was very popular, as was strawberry!). The little bottles turned out super cute and the kids loved the sprinkles around the rim (tip: melt some chocolate, dip in the top of the bottle (a glass or cup works too) and then quickly dip into a little bowl of sprinkles, set aside until the chocolate sets). .

The Birthday Cake was a huge tower of chocolate and funfetti layers with a surprise in the middle (can you tell I like surprises?!) but more on the cake to come as I think it deserves a post all of it’s own!

I will leave you with a photo of the birthday girl blowing out her candles….
